Comfort Knitting

I was working on a project that went wrong in so many directions it isn't even funny. So when I threw it down in frustration and refused to look at it for a week of moping, it was time for some comfort knitting.

When all else fails, there is something so comforting about knitting a plain pair of toe up socks with a self-striping yarn. And boy, did I need these!

love 'em! Just finished a pair myself - 'cept mine were not toe-up and had a lovely waffle pattern - soothing, yet not boring. Good for you, Eliz!

I totally know what you mean! I always try to have a pair of plain jane socks to use as a palette cleanser from difficult colorwork, lace, etc! I love knitting a sock in a plain rib or the Hedgerow pattern.

Ohh guess what? I started knitting! I hadn't touched a pair of needles since my mom use to start my line when I was 9 y/o.

This time, I managed to start my own project and am working on getting tight rows.

Next, I'll learn to purl and do other fun things.
